Harnessing Knoweldge, Creativity and Technology to create green, healthy cities for the future

This week I’m heading to Bendigo to meet with secondary school students at Bendigo Tech School discuss how cities affect the health and wellbeing of humans and biodiversity, the challenges that our future cities face, and how technology, knowledge and creativity are helping us to overcome these challenges to create cities for both people and nature.

With their focus on increasing access for Victorian school students to develop advanced skills and knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM),  the new Tech Schools such as those in Bendigo and Ballarat are a fantastic initiative for building the innovative and exciting work force we need to challenge the pressing challenges of our rapidly urbanising planet.

I’ll also be delivering a public presentation on this same topic later in the evening. Details and tickets can be found at: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/healthy-cities-of-the-future-a-tech-futures-event-tickets-50938086187?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

This presentation, along with my earlier talk at Ballarat Tech School are part of the Royal Society of Victoria’s Inspiring Victoria Activities and Events.
